Favorite Bible Verses:  He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.  He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.  Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.  Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.  Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.  - Psalm 23:2-6

BIO:  What is there to really say about me?  I am the poet and the sinner.  I am the Alien Soul.  Sometimes I can be quiet and shy and sometimes I can be a little weird and strange.  I try to keep in touch with the child inside of me.  I have been writing and drawing for many years now, since I was young.  It’s just something I took up to help keep my mind occupied and to try and make something positive out of negative.
I spent many years battling depression, so that heavily influenced my poetry in the early years.  I particularly enjoy writing the long “saga” type poems that tell a psychological journey.  Poetry was a great therapy for me when I was younger, and even though I don’t write as much anymore, I still find it as a great escape from the stresses of life.
In the past, I would draw comic books characters.  Then it kind of transformed into drawing lines and curves that resemble something like demented stained glass windows on churches.  I’m not quite sure how to explain the meaning behind those drawings, except that they represent the madness and the insanity in all of us.  The very sporadic paths in all of our minds that end up making one whole complete picture.   Here recently, I was given a paint shop pro program that allows me to alter pictures that I’ve taken with my digital camera or with pictures I’ve found on the Internet.  I very much enjoy this type of digital art, and for some reason I like giving myself four arms.  I’m just weird like that.
My short stories are mainly inspired by comic books.  I usually set up a lead character who is an anti-hero and then there is usually a villain.  They are Sci-Fi stories mostly, dealing with vampires and characters back from the dead.  I have written three fan fictions of “The Crow” which I always enjoy doing.  “Interview With a Vampire” inspired me to write, “The Legend of Lazarus” which was my first “big” short story.
I'm not a big time Christian, I just believe in developing a personal relationship with God.  I don't go to church mainly because I'm not much of a people person, and I know first hand how closed minded and judgmental a lot of Christians can be.  I personally believe that my body is my church, and my mind is my temple.  I believe that God is inside of us all, since we were made in His image.  The trick is getting in touch with that part of yourself, getting to know God is getting to know yourself.  I am still ripping and digging through the debris of my soul in search for some inner truth.
I’m just another soul out there in the great big ocean.
